Dark Chocolate Jaffa Balls

I am always in the process of developing organic, paleo snacks that are high in amazing fats & low in fructose levels, as I have found from my health journey thus far that my body is happiest eating this way.

Many bliss ball recipes call for large amounts of dates, which contain high levels of fructose. So, I was really excited when I developed this recipe about a week ago!

It is smooth and chocolaty, and I love the fun crunch I get here and there from the activated buckwheat grouts 🙂

  1. Melt the coconut oil in a pot on low heat, then stir in the cacao powder.
  2. Blend them with the next few ingredients, from avocado till pink salt, till smooth in a high speed blender.
  3. Scrape the mixture out of blender with a spatula, then stir in dessicated coconut, coconut flour, and activated buckwheat grouts.
  4. Place in the fridge for 10-15 minutes till it is easy to roll spoonfuls into balls. Coat each ball in dessicated coconut as you shape them with your hands.
  5. Place the shaped & coated balls into the fridge for another half an hour to firm up further. Enjoy!
